- The Picture of Dorian Gray
Oscar Wilde (1854–1900) was a poet, a lecturer, a playwright and, for a few years in the early 1890s, the most quoted man in London. The works collected here are the ones that survived the scandal that ended his career: The Happy Prince (1888), the fairy tales he wrote for his sons; The Picture of Dorian Gray (1890, revised 1891), his only novel; and The Importance of Being Earnest (1895), the comedy that is still performed more often than any other English play of its period.
All are free in EPUB, AZW3 and KEPUB. One is a book of fairy tales; one a short novel about a portrait that ages while its subject does not; the third a three-act farce about two men who both pretend to be called Ernest.
