A theme list is a shelf cut sideways. Instead of asking what kind of book this is, it asks who wrote it, when, how long it is or what it is about — and then lists everything on the site that fits.
Fifteen lists here, from Russian and French classics to books under 50,000 words. Each one is generated from the book pages, so its numbers are the site’s numbers: word counts of the editions offered, reading times at 300 words a minute, and years as they appear on each page.

How these lists are made
Nationality comes from Wikidata’s country of citizenship for the author, using the first recorded value. Gender comes from the same source. Length, period, form and profile come from the metadata recorded on each book page, which is why the numbers can be traced back one by one.
Nothing is hand-picked for taste. A book appears because a field says so, and the rule for each list is stated on its own page. That means the lists can move: a corrected year, a new title or a reclassified form changes a shelf without anyone editing a table.
